Creating classic realist paintings that tell of the beauty to be found in our everyday lives is what I most enjoy. The compelling glance of a portrait subject, or a shaft of light elevating a mundane household object to a thing of beauty are exciting to capture in paint.
Yet, creating a captivating work of art that is finely painted is not my only purpose. While painting, I constantly think about the people who will ultimately view and be inspired by my work. It becomes a collaborative process that motivates me to strive for excellence.
My commission clients especially appreciate that they are participating in the creation of a unique work of art. The enthusiasm is definitely contagious.
Working in an artistic style that has both a rich history and a renewed appreciation among artists and collectors is both challenging and rewarding. By using only the finest brushes, oil paints and linen supports, I am aware of the trust that my clients and collectors place in me to produce distinctive and well-crafted work.
After all, a fine painting will enrich life today, tomorrow, and for many years to come. That is truly classic.
