Lisa Steinbrenner Andrews was born and grew up in the Los Angeles area. After earning undergraduate and graduate degrees from UCLA, she worked in New York City for several years before moving to San Francisco where she continued a successful corporate career.  Upon the birth of her first child, she started a thriving design business.  At the same time, she pursued her lifelong love of painting, completing many commissions while raising her family.

While active in local and regional arts organizations, she completed intensive drawing and painting workshops with a number of nationally recognized artists, including Anthony Ryder, Daniel Greene, Richard Whitney and William Maughan.  Most recently, she completed study with Daniel Graves at the Florence Academy Master Class at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Over the years, Lisa has also done extensive independent research in museums and galleries, always seeking to further her knowledge of fine painting.

In 2005, Lisa's life-size portrait of the late John Paul II when he was a university student during World War II was unveiled to great acclaim on the day of the late Pontiff's funeral.  It hangs in the John Paul II Library on the campus of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.  She recently completed a large painting for another church in Ohio, and is currently working on a pair of large paintings for a new chapel.  She continues to accept portrait commissions, as well as producing a series of still life paintings in her favorite realist style.  Her paintings, which hang in public and private collections nationally and overseas, are admired and appreciated by a growing number of collectors.
